Situated on Dartmoor in Devon lie the remains of a late Bronze age settlement.

Within the 3m thick walls of the circular enclosure are 24 stone-built huts. Although the conical thatched roofs are now long gone, the remains of their cooking pits and turf fire heaths are still clearly visible.

The site is spread over an area of 4 acres and the huts range in size from 9 feet to 15 feet. It is assumed that the site was built to keep livestock as it is of limited defensive value.
